So take a look at my choices and let me know which one is your favorite!
1. Connecticut – Rustic Rural airbnb Barn
This rustic barn has recently been renovated and is definitely off the grid! No, seriously, it literally has its own backup generator! Despite being remote, it still has all the mod-cons you’ve come to expect from an airbnb, with internet, smart tv and thermostats. Plus, if you are musical it even comes with a full music room and instruments! As for me, I am just loving the big open plan spaces and those white rustic floors. Dreamy!
2. Washington State A Frame
This is a fairytale of a house, isn’t it?! The pictures in the snow had me charmed immediately! If you are a skier then this A-frame would be the ideal winter retreat for you as the ski resort is close by. After a hard day on the slopes this would be a perfect place to come back to and relax. It has cozy but modern interiors, plus there’s a hot tub which is fun for an apres-ski moment or just to soothe any sore muscles.
3. Georgia — Modern Rural Guesthouse
This modern, rural guest house is an absolute gem! It needs no art as out of every window there’s an amazing view of mountains and rolling hills. It has two bedrooms so it would be ideal for a small family. I think this airbnb would be the perfect place to get outside and enjoy nature. The hosts can help arrange a ton of different experiences to keep you occupied, which is awesome!
4. Artist’s House Catskills, NY
If you are looking for a rural retreat that’s packed full of quirky charm and personality, then this airbnb is for you. This is the house of renowned artists, and you can tell! It holds a lot of charm and natural light and you can feel the creativity around the house. As well as the interior that’s flooded with natural light, the grounds also look stunning, with ponds and lawns that back onto a public preserve. Sign me up to explore this beauty!
5. Vermont Rural airbnb Cottage
I think my English roots made me pick this one as it reminds of a quaint English cottage thanks to its wonky roof and small windows. Vermont is a great place to recharge with an abundance of opportunities to hike their mountains and lakes. Inside, I love how this airbnb has an old-world charm about it, but still feels modern and liveable thanks to pops of color.
