Listen. I’m not one for rules and so it’s probably no surprise that I’m all for wearing white after Labor Day. I’ve always thought it silly that people genuinely follow a “rule” that dictates what they are or aren’t supposed to wear. In my book white denim outfits look just as great in high summer as they do in fall or winter. Sure, they way in which you should wear white in fall is different to summer – but, heck, you can still wear it! Today, I wanted to share one of my favorite white denim outfits for fall because it’s comfortable, stylish and timeless.Let’s start with the olive green over shirt. This is an ideal wardrobe staple for fall because it’s a great layering piece. It looks just as good worn open over a contrasting tee, as it does buttoned up to shelter your midsection against a chilly autumn breeze. Add a fall appropriate bandana for a touch of urban cowboy meets Parisian style. I opted for this brown tie because it gels seamlessly with the olive over shirt and offsets the charcoal tee.Olive green really is best friends with white denim. I love how seasonal yet fresh this combination looks, don’t you? I wore brown chukka boots with this white denim outfit as they tie in with the necktie (ha!) while also adding seasonal warmth to the overall look. My Skagen watch that I bought a few years ago nicely rounded out the outfit. This white denim outfit has a subtle rugged vibe to it without trying too hard to look ‘outdoorsy’ so it feels appropriate for running errands in the city or a leaf-peeping adventure upstate. Speaking of which, the leaves will be all fallen soon so I better hop in the car to go color hunting stat! How do you like to wear white after Labor Day?Shop the outfit:
