affordable art websitesIt’s no secret that I love art; nor that I adore gallery walls. In fact, I think colorful art is one of the best ways to imprint your personality on your space. While some people have a weakness for shoes or bags, mine is with art. Confession time: the space under my bed is full with prints and artworks from previous apartments that I can’t bare to part with or sell. I know (hope!) that one day I’ll own my own place with more space than a one-bedroom apartment so I can hang them all again. Having navigated (enjoyed!) this addiction for many a year now, I’m well versed with where to find my latest hit of colorful art from affordable art websites. You name one and there’s a high chance I’ve bought a piece from it! So, today I’ve rounded up 19 colorful and affordable art websites that are great to have in your decorating back pocket when you are looking to add a splash of color and personality to your home!

1. U Gallery: Of course my love of the coast and all things nautical led my eye straight to this photographic print, Fish Shacks Spring Thaw by Mark Yaggie. LOVE!

2. One Kings Lane: I have a thing for painted portraits. I picked up one from the Brooklyn Flea about three years ago, which I adore. Right now, I have my eye on this one as I love to pair paintings with photographic and typographic prints to give a loose and eclectic feel to a gallery wall.

3. Minted: Although I now just swim for enjoyment (I swam competitively as a child) I’m still drawn to art that depicts the spot. I have a male swimmer by Samantha French and I’d love to add this female swimmer to my art collection.

4. Desenio: Painterly blue and grey brush strokes get me every.single.time.

5. Schoolhouse Electric: Could this print be any more relevant/needed than in 2017? I think not!

6. The Animal Print Company: This fine art photograph of a brightly colored Macaw would make a great statement piece in a bedroom.

7. Max Wagner: Max’s photography has been catching my eye for several years now. His Yellow Balloon print is one of my favorites.

8. The Calm Gallery: A Day In The Country is like a dream land. A #MakeYouSmileStyle dream land! 😉

9. Sebastian Foster: This is an archive print of an original painting and it.is.beautiful.

10. Striped Shirt: Illustrator and graphic designer Mary Matson painted “portraits” of striped shirts owned and loved by six creative women. I would really like to buy one!

11. Christoph Niemann: Christoph’s Brooklyn Bridge is a lovely reminder for us to build bridges, not walls.

12. Leif: I’ve shopped Leif’s home accessories edit for many years thanks to their colorful assortment. Love this site!

13. Ryo Takemasa: Ryo’s work has always been captivating to me – his prints of the Japanese countryside hung above the bed in my final London apartment before I moved to NYC). Next on my list from him? Autumn Sunshine.

14. Society6: The revel in me kinda loves this brutalized Gainsborough print.

15. Etsy: Can’t keep plants and blooms alive but love the green/botanical trend? No problem, bring the look home by hanging this beautiful print instead!

16. The Station Big Print: This piece reminds me of L.S. Lowry. Anyone else see it?

17. Leslee Mitchell: Leslee’s Land Rover Safari makes me want to go back to Nantucket for a summer adventure!

18. KOEL: Another affordable print idea for those in love with all things botanical.

19. Tiny Showcase: Graphic design lovers will lust over ‘a+b’.
