After an insanely busy year travelling through countless countries (click here to browse my colourful inspirations from overseas) to create the Bright.Bazaar book, 2013 is now drawing to a close. I’m back home at my mum’s for the Christmas holiday before heading over to Paris to celebrate NYE with friends. Yesterday I helped my mum add a few final festive flourishes to the house. Remember the post I did on how I styled her country kitchen dresser? Well, we searched out some pieces she liked to give the display a Christmas twist; it’s amazing what a simple scattering of mistletoe, red berries and tea lights can do to bring about that all important festive feeling, don’t you think? Before I leave to start our prep for the Big Day (my fiancé and I are cooking the Christmas dinner for 10 people – yikes!), I wanted to send my heartfelt thanks for all your support, encouraging words and inspiring blog posts over the past twelve months – consider this a big, bright hug from Mr. Bazaar! I’m looking forward to more colourful adventures with you in 2014, and in the meantime I’ll be posting updates from my festive break on Bright.Bazaar’s Instagram feed.

    • @Yvestown – When I was shooting the door this afternoon I was telling her alike both of styles are! You would LOVE her kitchen. Merry Christmas! x

  1. Perfect touches! I wish I could find fresh mistletoe around here. Alas, the Phoenix desert doesn’t support such things. Seeing these lovely photos gives me more holiday joy than trying to make due with the plastic junk the stores try to pass off as mistletoe around here! Thank you for sharing.

  2. Merry Christmas Will! Your styling details are lovely and festive. Have a happy and safe New Year. I look forward to more colourful posts in 2014. xD

  3. There’s such a sense of light and air along with the Christmassy flavour – have a wonderful Christmas and put your feet up at some point 🙂

  4. Beautiful decorations Will. I wish you and your loved ones a wonderful Xmas. May your days be filled with love, joy and happiness.

  5. I seem to remember one of your first blog posts being a re-design of your mums dresser. From small acorns and all that! Have a lovely Christmas and am looking forward to your book next year.

  6. Wonderful atmosphere! No doubt where you’ve got your bright gen from 🙂 I’m sure the Christmas Dinner will be perfect. Last year we had our family over and cooked fot 26 people and we loved it! It’s such a joy to have dinner togehter at home and a perfect way to share that Christmas feeling. Happy Christmas! cheers from Dordrecht.

  14. I totally see where you got the talent from to style everything so fun, colourful and beautiful!! 😉 Your mother did a great job in styling the whole place for Christmas, it looks absolutely gorgeous.
