I first discovered the beautiful work of Jeanette Lunde back in 2010 when I featured her online magazine, BY FRYD, on the blog. Since then her beautiful frost pictures popped up here in 2012 and now as we approach 2014 it’s a delight to shine the spotlight on her latest issue of BY FRYD.
The fourth instalment of Jeanette’s magazine is split into two main themes: the first focuses on the renovations of an old barn into her new studio space (seriously, do click over for interiors inspiration in spades), while the second is a visual festive feast for the eyes! After being inspired by the outstandingly beautiful natural beauty of Norway last month it was a delight to see how Jeanette translated the abundance of Norwegian nature to create an natural and organic inspired Christmas decorating scheme. I love how these organic decorating ideas call on natural elements such as fir, bark and foliage to deliver effortlessly stylish and homely christmas decorations. There’s so much razzmatazz and noise during the festive season that this pared back Scandi approach to christmas decorating feels oh so refreshing and calming, don’t you think? What inspires you about Jeanette’s organic Christmas decorating ideas?

These pictures are so beautiful!! I have to try the little potted trees idea on my mantel this season.
@Jules – Great idea! Happy festive decorating! 🙂
I love how a lone branch in a vase can feel so festive. It’s true that with this look less is more!
@RJ – Totally agree. With some Christmas schemes it can be fun to go all out but with this organic look I think power is in the simplicity.
She’s done yet another beautiful job with issue 4-just gorgeous! xx
Caroline – I agree; stunning! x
I’m so excited that Jeanette’s got a new issue of BY FRYD out, I absolutely love her beautiful style. Those tiny Christmas trees on the mantle piece are divine! x
