I’m so pleased so many of you enjoyed my first post from the trio I have pulled together with my Balearic Island highlights and colour inspirations. Today’s second instalment is all about you and I exploring the bright Balearic beaches together. I’m taking about the most intense blue sea you’ve ever seen with every shade of azure, aqua and turquoise you can possibly imagine. It was so fun to jump in our bright blue rental car (perfect for Mr. Bazaar, right?!) and drive through water-side Spanish towns that oozed a calm and nautical vibe that I just wanted to bottle up and take home. When I pulled over take pictures it was a sensory experience: the water lapped gently against the dock; cutlery clattered amongst animated chatter from the diners in the harbour-side restaurants; the smells of freshly baked paella a reminder of the Spanish location; and the warmth of the sun on the back of my neck. After parking the car at the top of a cliff it was time to trek across the headland, down the cliff sides and back up agains between a collection of colourful coves. With my personalised Sweet Paul tote bag from Mark and Graham, I walked for a good hour to reach the most remote beach. The smell of pine in the air was equally as pleasing as the picture perfect views. Basically, it was all beyond amazing. What beaches do you love to visit?

  1. What an amazing holiday you had lovely. Part 1?-going back there right now. In need of some more beautiful pictures and sunshine injections! See you soon xxx

  2. Oh, such a lovely photos and composition of them all together. I love that you also post photos if yourself. They are so funny 🙂
Recently I found a lovely beach, it was during a roadtrip through Malaysia (I’m on a worldtrip) and we went to and island called perhentian kecil. I’ve never seen such a blue ocean. So beautiful. But I have to say, this one in Spain almost looks at blue as that one. I’m happy that closer to home (Netherlands) are also beautiful blue oceans!
I hope you had a lovely time in Spain!

  3. It all looks amazing, wish I was there. The colour of the sea in the first photos is divine. And the blue of the dipped wall is the most perfect shade.

We have some amazing beaches in New Zealand, but most of them are much more rugged and wild. x

    • @Vic – I’ve heard that the landscape in New Zealand is meant to be breathtaking! I agree that the blue on the ‘dipped’ wall is really quite perfect!

Oh my, the turquoise color of the water is so inviting and soothing at the same time. My favorite beaches in the world are Bondi Beach in Sydney and believe it or not, Sanya Island in the South China Sea. Thank you for the photo tour, it is nice to see this part of the island 🙂 Have a wonderful day! Jocelyn

  5. I lurve Spain too – these images are simply the epitome of cool spanish lifestyle. I adore how they chill, not like the usual city life rat race. Exquisite snaps Will, have a great Monday.

  6. My favorite beaches are those of the Greek islands. I can’t help it, I’m a bit biased since I lived there for a while!

  7. What beautiful images! I love the way that hidden beach reveals itself through the pine forest.

I’m not quite sure where my favourite beach is. But Maspalomas in Gran Canaria with its sand dunes looks pretty spectacular!

My favourite beach is Akumal Beach in Mexico. My husband and I had our first date there – 25 years ago! Gorgeous spot, great memories – and it’s a great place to scuba dive.

  9. This is amazing Will! I know I enjoy my #OutWestVacay, but check out Spain! Love the vivid shades of blues and OMG, I think I would have fainted standing so close to the edge to take that video.

That beach just look incredible. I’ve always thought the beaches down the Caribbean were awesome, now I know I need to check out Balearic!

  10. looks like an amazing time! my hubby and i went to st. lucia for our honeymoon and the beaches there were pretty spectacular. xoxo – julie
