Last weekend my fiancé and I hopped on a plane and headed to the Spanish Balearic Islands in search of a potential wedding venue. We are keeping everything crossed as we think we might have found a great place! Menorca is an island that we have been visiting together for several years. I visited the island for the first time with my family many, many years ago so it was really exciting to introduce my other half to this slice of Spanish paradise a few years ago. It has become a very special place to us and so it felt like a natural fit as a location for our wedding. Along our travels across the island this weekend I regularly stopped to snap pictures of colourful inspirations that caught my eye. So in the first of three blog posts (I hope that isn’t too many but I just had so many inspirations and visual experiences I felt driven to share with you all!) I’ve pulled together some of the divine hues and textures that sparked my creativity over the three days. From so-intense-you-could-swim-in-it blue hues to saturated shades of yellow the buildings were often bursting with colour, while multi-coloured bunting and vibrant everyday scenes also captured my imagination. What trips have inspired you recently, friends?

  1. You can post 20 posts if the images are so colourful and inspirational… absolutely love them!

Oh, the yellow pops, doesn’t it?

Cute shorts Mister and the Giggles? Can’t see the video:-(
    xx

    • @Tina – Thank you! Yes, the yellow sings! Sorry the vid didn’t work for you. I just tried it on my iPhone and on my iMac and it worked so not sure what happened! x

  2. Lovely Will, the island looks like a perfect fit for you two. Is it really that colourful everywhere or just specific areas? Look forward to seeing more! BTW, I couldn’t get the link to come up? M x

  3. Although the snapshots and colors are divine, hands down the best part of this post is your giggle video! Love it.

  4. Beautiful shades Will … These are the kids of colours I love : bright yellow, flashy blue, deep green … I love places where colours are everywhere, even outdoor. We spent 10 days in Guadeloupe in March and I was stroke by colours there as well. It looked like they splashed paint all over the island. Is the sunny weather that does that? I don’t have the answer but I’ve always been surprised to see how buildings in Paris for instance are as grey as the sky above (and that doesn’t make it less one of the most beautiful cities in the world!) Looking forward to see your upcoming posts of your stay there. have a lovely day xx

    • @Ilaria – I have to agree! In fact, I was in Paris in January when it was their heaviest snowfall in a decade and somehow it made the city seem way more colourful than it usually is! I think the white blanket served as a blank canvas – it was stunning! But then again, Paris always is, right?! x
