Hi, friends! I’m back from an amazing weekend wedding location hunting in the Balearic Islands – I’ve come back with so many pictures it’s hard to believe we were only there for three days. I can’t wait to blog all of my colourful inspirations and share the amazing natural beauty of Spain with you all, but in the meantime you can see some sneak peeks in the Bright.Bazaar Instagram feed.

While I sort through all my pictures I wanted to drop in and share an update on the new pieces of textile designer, Imogen Heath. It’s hard to believe that Imogen’s studio was only established in 2011 because she is already stocked in prestigious locations such as Liberty. I’m totally sold on her approach to textile design and just can’t get enough of how she effortlessly combines graphic and delicate designs. In short – I have a serious cushion crush going on right now. Imogen’s use of colour is injects an energetic vibrancy to her designs yet they somehow retain an air of comforting calm; the sort of textiles that make you feel like jumping on the couch for a cosy evening in but are still bright and fresh to look at. Another good thing to know about this rapidly rising textile star? All of Imogen’s designs and products are created in her studio before being produced either by hand or in British mills – result! Tell me, which of Imogen Heath’s new fabrics are catching your eye, folks?

  1. Totally loving these blue fabrics – so graphic and yet so fresh and summer-y! I love anything blue, probably because I’m still in summer-mood. Although funnily enough I’m also looking forward to the cosiness of the coming fall, just because you can decorate everything so nicely. These fabrics would totally rock in my little boy’s room! I’m planning to sew a few pillows myself (if my grandma will explain how it all works because I’ve never stitched a single thing in my whole life). 😀 Will definitely keep Imogen Heath’s fabrics in mind!!
Pillows 3,4,5 and 6 on the third picture are my absolute favourites. 🙂
    Big hug, Inge xxx

    • @Inge – Good luck with your first sewing adventure! I remember when I sewed a cushion cover for the first time and although it was relatively straight forward I was so proud! x

  2. It is far too difficult to pick just one! What a beautiful collection!

  3. The brightly colored floral fabric and the geometric cushion from the first picture are my favorites!

  4. So many lovely patterns … Am I to pick one? I guess I would pick the geometric ones or the Liberty ones. Amazingly I have never been a fan of the Liberty pattern, I’ve always considered it too “girlish” … I am the only girl at home, none of my men (young or grown-up) would accept them on the sofa 😉 nevertheless I start finding them nice and I like the hues of colors they create. I guess my taste is changing 🙂 Have a lovely day Will xx

  5. Love these gorgeous colourful patterns, they make me think of upcoming Spring in NZ

  6. Oh hello fresh cool fabrics. I adore these, they make me want Summer (it’s still here YAY) I wish I could sow – you know I bought the sowing machine, and tried my hand at it, and my 7 year old said she could do better. Cushions would be a good place to start I think. I adore Imogen’s patterns. Happy day Will, great to have you back. Hugs Ax

    • @Anya – That made me laugh out loud! I’ve had some pretty disastrous sewing attempts in the past, too! That said, a simple envelope cushion cover is usually OK! 😉 x

The floral fabric in the first photo is perfect. Sweet design and awesome colours.
