coral-chocolate-color-decorating-idea-dining-room

This week’s Palette Addict post is inspired by one of Bright.Bazaar’s lovely sponsors, Jamie Shop. If you’ve not yet heard of Jamie Shop, you need to have this store on your radar because it gives access to manufacturers whose products are normally only available ‘to the trade’. This means that all the furniture, wallpaper, lighting, soft furnishings and home accessories seen in glossy interiors magazines can be purchased at up to 30-40% off the normal retail prices – amazing! So what would Mr. Bazaar choose if he was furnishing a new dining room? Well it would have to be these stunning coral drapes by Bergamo, which look stunning alongside the statement chandelier from Therein – both of which are available through Jamie Shop. This scheme demonstrates how coral can work across seasons and doesn’t need to be a summer only colour. By pairing it with rich and inviting chocolate shades it brings balance to the palette; the coral freshens the russet shades for summer without being too cool for the winter months. Plus, coral is a great shade of orange to use to highlight a key feature or pattern, as seen in the curtains above. Have you ever decorated with coral? Mr. Bazaar can’t get enough of it at the moment.

  1. Love this color combination. I also love that they coral is not too bright. It’s more subtle. I think that’s important.

  2. I decorated with coral in my first apartment many years ago but this has inspired me to use it again… Love the drapes.

  3. I agree Mr.B the studded brown chairs work nicely with the pops of coral

  4. Thank you for the intro to JamieShop… great resource.

P.S. Coral is everywhere in our home and my husband always thinks I’m mad when I buy something new in it but I can’t help it!

  5. I agree that the chocolate brown contrasts perfectly against the coral – I like that its dramatic but its softer than black. The gold chairs also really drawer your eye to the pattern in the curtains.

  6. Intresting chairs, I like it. But now I can have only the simplest furniture because of children 🙂 maybe later
