Picture the scene: I’m sat enjoying a leisurely weekend breakfast, quietly sipping on fresh coffee and indulging in warm croissants with lashings of Nutella when I suddenly let out an excited yelp across the breakfast table! My partner looks confused until I explain how I’d just read that one of my favourite US furniture and homeware brands, West Elm, is set to open a London location. I know, the BEST news to kick off the weekend of any interiors geek, right? This colour-loving brand has long been the apple of my eye and having been lucky enough to work with West Elm on two occasions (here and here), I’m beyond excited to read their plans to open a physical West Elm location on Tottenham Court Road in London. Although there’s no official word from the West Elm camp as yet, many respected industry publications, including Retail Week, Property Week and The Times have reported that property agent Harper Dennis Hobbs is likely to be working on the deal – let’s hope this will lead to all of the Williams Sonoma brands in the UK. So, come on, who’s joining me in shared excitement of this opening? It’s time for a West Elm party, folks!

Update: The London store has now been confirmed by West Elm (yay!) and you can like their London store Facebook page, here.

  1. so happy for you MR! Love West Elm … in fact I am about to head over there to pick up a cutting board for my photo fun this weekend!

XOXO to you and Mr. T!

  2. YES!!! Another great reason for me to definitely visit London again. 🙂
Thanks for sharing this great news Will, it is a fantastic start of my weekend too!!

  3. I can most certainly imagine that! As we are to be blessed with their presence here in Aus too! (I can barely believe it!) First store opening up in Sydney next week with Melbourne (my home) to follow!!! CANNOT WAIT!!!!

  4. I know, I felt the same way when I found out they’re opening in Montreal. Although, it’s still 2 hours away, it’s much closer than Toronto or Vancouver. Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma already opened in Montreal. I still promise myself to take a one-day or weekend trip to Montreal, especially for West Elm 🙂 when they open.

  5. What!
How do you know this before I even know this?!
My company never tells me anything!

  6. Wow! You made my day Will!!!!!!!!!
I live in Paris but I’m often in London for shopping 🙂
And I love West Elm ♥
Maybe we all could keep the fingers crossed so they open A Target store, and maybe C Wonder too … Yes let’s dream a little bit!

  7. Oh Will. This is the best news ever. It was only a few weeks ago that we were tweeting to each other about wanting them to open up here. It’s as though all my dreams have come true! All time favourite store hands down x

  8. That’s going to be brilliant. My American husband is horrified by my enthusiasm for the likes of West Elm & Williams Sonoma but I could just eat them up!

  9. OMGOMGOMG!!! How did I miss this post?!!? I’m so excited – please please let the plans be to open a store in Manchester or at least an online store!! About time!! Now fingers crossed Target follows suit 😉 xxx
