Winter felt so long this year, didn’t it? I feel like I’ve been craving spring for such a long time so it was a joy to stumble upon these colourful blooms a few weeks ago. Just like the spring blossom I photographed a few weeks back, these cheerful stems had me snapping away with my camera in no time at all. There’s something about the simple combination of purple and pink that’s so vibrant and uplifting, isn’t there? Stumbling upon colour like this never fails to inspire me. What inspires you when it comes to colour?

Hej Will, flowers do it for me too 🙂
Wonderful flowers and wonderful photos, Will! Flowers and their colours never stop to to amaze me! As a florist I always use flowers to try out new colour and texture combinations. Sometimes I try it first with flowers and then, if I like it, I “translate” it into interior.
@Emelie – I love the idea of trying out a colour scheme with flowers – great idea! 🙂
These colors are so gorgeous!
Will, you prove that one purple and one pink anemone plus a bit of gypsum is enough to offer visual happiness. Simple and enjoyable. Well done.
Oh my goodness, the colours are amazing! What beautiful photos…I’m in Asia at the moment with stunning tropical flowers in the most wonderful colours, but these UK ones would even give them a run for their money! LMH x
