10 Things I Learned & Loved This Weekend

1. Baking double chocolate chip cookies on a Sunday afternoon fills the apartment with the most welcoming and inviting smell.
2. I don’t think anything can beat the classic Barber Shop stripe for simple graphic appeal.
3. No matter how often I decorate, I never seem to be able to keep the outside of the can paint free!
4. A belated engagement card from an old school friend made my weekend.
5. I like the Anthropologie hardware I added to my IKEA bedside tables.
6. My papier machie Zebra head is perfectly framed by my new yellow hallway feature wall.
7. I like the gilded gold leaf on this Just Be Cool print.
8. Charlotte Rivers’ book I Heart Stationery is a must read for any paper lovers!
9. A new year calls for a new planner, and this dandelion planner caught my eye.
10. The Saddle Office Chair from West Elm is my dream office chair.

I love your new yellow feature wall – I bte that it makes everyone who walks in the door feel instantly happier. I’m off to browse Anthropologie now to choose some hardware for all the poor handle-less drawers in my house. I have been hoping I stumbled across some pretties locally but think I will order online instead.

How exciting you’ve been getting your diy on! Those handles look awesome what a difference new handles can make. When I ripped out the old wardrobe in my bedroom I kept the handles and put them onto a set of drawers and they look fantastic like a new lease of life!

i’m in complete agreement on #10, what a comfy and stylish office chair…and loving that hardware, too!

a fantastic weekend with lots of fun I would say! you have got to send me a couple of those delicious cookies!

The yellow feature wall is just a killer, especially with the super chic black and white friend from the animal kingdom. You have got to show us more of your home Will!

you know what, you are not alone on the “dripping paint” issue: I am just the same!!

Funny I am actually in the market for a home office chair as well. Chris has finally told me he wants a home office in the dining room. Off to hunt for a perfect desk (with drawers) and a stylish + comfy chair!

I love the yellow wall. Choosing the right shade of yellow, it’s not an easy task, considering also that colours affct your mood: this one is perfect, not too bright, not too faint. Thank you for sharing.

Love the yellow wall – are the others a lighter yellow? Looks fab and the zebra now pops! xxx

    • Reply Will @ Bright.Bazaar January 7, 2013 at 10:30 pm

@Rachie Thanks, hun! Other walls are the same as when we moved in – an off white colour, they just look pale yellow in this snap because of the poor lighting! x

I’m with you on number 3- you’d think someone would have invented something to stop this happening by now. I’ve lost a few good pairs of jeans this phenomenon!
