This Bright.Bazaar guy is craving a little dose of orange in his life. Ok, maybe a bit more than a little! So there’s only one thing for it folks, a triple helping of The Bright Stuff. From burnt hues to poppy brights, this colour is one of my all time favourites (I blogged about it’s zing back in March). Kicking things off is a little combo of stripes and orange (1) which gives that home office some serious masculine charm. For uplifting and happy spaces I like the lighter, brighter hues (2, 4), especially those dining chairs (7) and the striped bench (8) in the breakfast bar. It turns out orange looks pretty darn good in a stripe pattern. That said, they’re all tempting spaces for me, but it would be wrong not to pick a favourite or two, right?! I say: give me the artwork from that grey living room (4) and those hot orange stools (9) and I think my cravings will be satisfied. For now, anyway…

  1. I love orange too – I bought orange lamps I wrote about on my blog awhile ago…they add just the right amount of kick to any room!!

  2. I love that kitchen with the striped orange banquette! I saw it in a mag recently, did you know she covered those using rugs from IKEA!?

  3. I think of you as such an “orange” guy! I love this series… it seems really manly & fresh to me.

Ok- I loved the concept of “layering” for home. I've never thought of that. You taught me something new & great today. Thanks, Will!!

  4. I couldn't believe my eyes when i saw that you were posting about orange. I actually have an orange post planned for next week! Did i mention that i'm addicted to the colour, orange? Yes, indeed!;-). Love this post will! I'll have to make sure i link to you in my post next week too!

  5. OMG I almost had to breathe into a paper bag when I saw no 1!! What a brilliant room! (I can see how I could easily break the rules of 'maximum allowance of exclamation marks' here.. )

Orange is wonderful and I think the craving comes with Autumn. Fill your life with ripe oranges, pumpkin and arm fulls of golden leaves from the park. London rocks at this time of the year and I miss my ol' home town so much!

Have a fab week and thanks for your comment.

    xx Charlotta

  6. wow – great minds do think alike! our blog posts go hand-in-hand with all of the gorgeous pops of orange! i love the examples you found 🙂

    xoxo – julie

  7. Oh this orange inspiration is heavenly! I love that dining room with the orange chairs and that amazing green wallpaper! So chic!

  8. My 5yo is looking over my shoulder as I read/type this, and she asked me to tell you that orange is the best colour in the world – ever, and definitely her favourite!

  9. Love the striped wall! And the orange dining chairs! I can't wear the color orange, so decorating with it is my only other option 🙂

  10. I usually do not like the color orange in decor…I've happily changed my thoughts! Wonderful images!

  12. Hi there, I'm new to your blog, I just found you… Love it. That orange is wonderful.. I adore the kitchen in the last shot. I'm going to keep it as reference!! It's modern yet it has a vintage edge I love. Especially those stools and doesn't turquoise go well with orange. Never would have thought about that combination. Kindest, Pruxxx

  13. I couldn't agree with you more! I'm contemplating a splurge for the JA Nixon throw in orange to bring a little extra color to my new pink-and-camel boudoir. Thoughts from a fellow fan?

  14. you know it's funny but years ago I would never even have orange on my radar. but it's completely grown on me – orange and grey?? oh i love that combo!! like that fab grey sofa and orange pillows – love it! but not as much as those orange chairs in the kitchen!!

  15. I really like the stripes on the wall, but they read a little too Halloween for year-round, in my opinion. Everything looks so fresh and so clean (clean), though.

Also, is that a chair rail height fabric curtain (in gray) in the powder room picture? Wow.
