Since moving to New York City I have been super lucky with the weather: it’s been unseasonably warm in the city. Everyone said to me that NYC was completely magical at this time of year, and they weren’t wrong – just look at these festive lights! The pleasant autumnal temperatures and clear blue skies have meant it’s been easy to explore the city’s holiday sights while embracing seasonal layering in my outfits. Having been welcomed so warmly to my new city by friends new and old, I donned my new pair of Hush Puppies shoes and headed out to show my thanks and share the warmth of the festive season. My new pair of Benson Rigby’s are super comfortable thanks to their padded soles and suede – a good thing too because I’ve been walking non-stop since I moved here! With my presents wrapped (how cute is that gold polka dot wrap? Obsessed!) I headed out and through Central Park to visit pals in the city with my Christmas gifts.
As you know, I love a #MakeYouSmileStyle colour combination so naturally I couldn’t get enough of the navy suede and the caramel pairing between my shoes and chinos. The fall leaves? Well, they were the perfect accessory for my seasonal walk through Central Park!
I paired the Benson Rigby’s with a pair of caramel chinos to give a nice contrast in colour. To introduce pattern into the overall look I wore a fair isle sweater over the top of a denim shirt that picked up on the blue in the sweater. A dark navy duffel coat pulled the whole outfit together and referenced the colour of the shoes.
