Somethings-Gotta-Give-Movie-Locations-Travel-Guide-1As September sees the release of Nancy Meyers’ new movie, The Intern, I’ve teamed up with Warner Brothers to create travel guides inspired by a series of Nancy’s much-loved movies, including It’s Complicated, The Holiday and The Intern. If you’ve been following along with my #NancyMeyersMoment feed on Instagram then you’ll have already seen behind the scenes peeks at my movie-inspired adventures both in the UK and America. Today I’m excited to share the first travel guide in this series! The Hamptons travel guide has been inspired by Nancy’s charming coastal love story, Something’s Gotta Give. You can see all the travel guide stops and their addresses – plus stacks of Erica Barry et al inspired snaps of incredible Coastal locations and homes – on this Pinterest board. Now you too can experience the life of Erica from the film! Just click through after the jump to get the lowdown on what to do, where to shop, stay and eat in the Hamptons.

Nancy always manages to create a feeling of effortless sophistication in her film sets (and scripts!); Natasha Esch has done the same in her Sag Harbor store. The shop sees a fusion of home decor, accessories and furniture that mixes old with new, and traditional with modern.Somethings-Gotta-Give-Movie-Locations-Travel-Guide-4More information: Monc XIII locationSomethings-Gotta-Give-Movie-Locations-Travel-Guide-5Still need to get your fix of that always-in-style Hamptons coastal look? Be sure to stop in at Fishers. This home furnishings store on Main St. in Sag Harbor is a vast treasure trove of furniture, coastal accents, soft furnishings and lighting for nautical interiors.Somethings-Gotta-Give-Movie-Locations-Travel-Guide-6More information: Fishers locationSomethings-Gotta-Give-Movie-Locations-Travel-Guide-7Somethings-Gotta-Give-Movie-Locations-Travel-Guide-8For a pure white zen-like moment that will have you reaching for the credit card to redecorate just like Erica’s house in the movie, stop by Jangeorge. This Sag Harbor location is a lesson in how to achieve a luxe yet comfortable look at home – divine. | More information: Jangeorge locationSomethings-Gotta-Give-Movie-Locations-Travel-Guide-8aSomethings-Gotta-Give-Movie-Locations-Travel-Guide-9Perhaps you are keen to pick up a nautical souvenir or a gift from your trip to the Hamptons? If so, call into Beach Bungalow for an edit of charming gifts and accessories for the home all inspired by, you guessed it, the beach. Let’s just say: I definitely didn’t leave empty handed…! | More information: Beach Bungalow locationSomethings-Gotta-Give-Movie-Locations-Travel-Guide-11For that classic all American look for your home and wardrobe I recommend a visit to Lexington Clothing Co.’s stores in East Hampton or Southampton. Expect to find a stylish edit of all things blue, white, starred and striped; this is one of my favourites. | More information: Lexington Clothing Co. Southampton locationSomethings-Gotta-Give-Movie-Locations-Travel-Guide-12Another store in Southampton which is worth a peek is Pottery Barn. Split over two large floors, this location is rammed to the rafters with stylish homeware, furniture and tableware all displayed in inspirational room sets that wouldn’t have looked out of place in Something’s Gotta Give.Somethings-Gotta-Give-Movie-Locations-Travel-Guide-13More information: Pottery Barn locationSomethings-Gotta-Give-Movie-Locations-Travel-Guide-14Stepping into Sylvester & Co. for the first time had me instantly reaching for my camera – it was so stylish! Much like so many of Nancy’s movie sets this store had nailed that urban chic meets country comfortable style. Plus, there were stacks of artisanal products made in America and a welcoming coffee shop (the smell; so good!) at the back. Don’t miss this gem on Sag Harbor’s Main St. | More information: Sylvester & Co. locationSomethings-Gotta-Give-Movie-Locations-Travel-Guide-15Somethings-Gotta-Give-Movie-Locations-Travel-Guide-16A delicious Italian meal is guaranteed at Tutto Il Giorno in either of their Sag Harbor or Southampton locations. The outdoor dining area in Sag Harbor sits nestled between the classic shingle properties overlooking the harbour. It’s a special spot to take in the sunset while enjoying your dinner.Somethings-Gotta-Give-Movie-Locations-Travel-Guide-17More information: Tutto Il Giorno locationSomethings-Gotta-Give-Movie-Locations-Travel-Guide-18Sweet tooth? No fear, Tate’s Bake Shop has you covered! Voted the Hampton’s best bakery countless times, the combination of tasty treats (all freshly baked on site!) and charming location will put a smile on your face. You’ll also find delicious savoury and sweet food thats perfect for lunch on-the-go at Citarella; the buzzing Lt Burger in Sag Harbor is a great spot for families, too. | More information: Tate’s Bake Shop locationSomethings-Gotta-Give-Movie-Locations-Travel-Guide-19Somethings-Gotta-Give-Movie-Locations-Travel-Guide-20Of course if you love the aesthetic of Something’s Gotta Give then you’ll be keen to stay in a hotel that feels akin to the style. Thankfully Baron’s Cove recently reopened following an extensive two year renovation and it’s what I call ‘nautical nirvana’. Think: all-white bedrooms with stripy blue carpet, shingle clad accommodation, a pool area overlooking Sag Harbor bay and a ship-inspired dining room.Somethings-Gotta-Give-Movie-Locations-Travel-Guide-21Somethings-Gotta-Give-Movie-Locations-Travel-Guide-22More information: Baron’s Cove locationSomethings-Gotta-Give-Movie-Locations-Travel-Guide-23Somethings-Gotta-Give-Movie-Locations-Travel-Guide-24We all remember those dreamy scenes on the beach outside of Erica’s beach house in the movie, right? Well, you can go to the very beach that Nancy Meyers, Diane Keaton and all the gang filmed on. I know, awesome! It’s called Flying Point Beach and trust me when I write that it’s everything you would want from a Hamptons beach. | More information: Flying Point Beach locationSomethings-Gotta-Give-Movie-Locations-Travel-Guide-25To get around the various towns and villages in the Hamptons it’s easiest to drive. Why not make it all the more fun and drive a vintage car or a convertible like Jack Nicholson does at the start of the film?Somethings-Gotta-Give-Movie-Locations-Travel-Guide-26There are more stop-you-in-your-tracks homes than I could count all over the Hamptons, so hop in the car and head out to explore! In the meantime, I’ll be back soon with travel guides for more of Nancy Meyers’ movies, including The Holiday, It’s Complicated and new film, The Intern.
