The zest for pastel and neon schemes is showing no sign of fading and I’ve recently received a number of emails from readers who are looking for ideas on how to dip their toes into the look without making their scheme look forced or overly styled. This bedroom with its pastel pink and apricot palette punctuated with flashes of neon coral and yellow is the perfect example of how to combine these two opposing shades. This approach to the scheme works so well because the softer pastel shades are used across the majority of the space and the stronger neons are used sparingly to introduce visual depth. Notice how the partition wall has been papered in a delicately patterned wallpaper – this is a key element of the room because its dusty grey and pink colourway ties the pastel and neon shades together to create a harmonious scheme.
