Last week I was lucky enough to spend five days in Sweden’s beautiful capital city, Stockholm. I was there to speak the keynote speech at the Meet The Blogger Stockholm event (here’s the blogging infographic I made to summarise my key points) but I extended my stay to soak up the city’s calm and creative vibe for a few more days. As always, I explored the city armed with my camera and let my love for colour guide my viewfinder; the shutter clicking each time my inspirations were sparked. It was so refreshing to breathe in the crisp February air and enjoy finding vibrancy in the city’s everyday items, like their super fun yellow and blue postboxes. The sky’s blue hue only gained in intensity as each day drew forward and framed the vibrant facades with the same class and style of the city’s inhabitants. On the last day it felt like my first experience of this wonderful city was completed as a gentle dusting of snow fell; the light generous and abundant. From the quaint and cosy charm of the old town to the creative and colourful vibe of the Södermalm district, I felt creatively invigorated by my stay in Stockholm. On the last night I walked past the Taverna restaurant and I smiled to myself as the colourful letters shined brightly into the inky black sky and thought: colour comes alive at night.

I fell totally in love with Stockholm when I visited last year so I adored seeing one of my favourite cities through your colourful lens. I particularly love the picture of the ice skating on the river!

Boy did you spotted a lot of colors! All I’ve seen was black, grey and white, Think I had to stay a few days more or open my eyes more for colors, a bit of both perhaps
…
Thanks again for your great presentation, it’s has been a real eyeopener here in Holland!

I’ve always loved the combination of blue and yellow – but have always associated it with Provence in the South of France. The Swedish version is a really attractive take on these 2 colours. thanks for sharing
