I can’t quite believe it but I’ve just signed my name on a worldwide publishing deal to release the first Bright.Bazaar interiors book! This is such an exciting yet nerve-wracking step for me; I’m equal parts bursting with excitement and freaking out with fear, but I think it’s these projects in life that are the most rewarding, right? I’m honoured to be working with Macmillan/St. Martin’s Press in America and Jacqui Small in the UK, and although I know that this is going to be a rollercoaster adventure full of learning new lessons and broadening my horizons (I just saw the travel schedule and my stomach flipped!), I’m keen to cherish this experience as I realise how lucky I am to be writing the book I’ve always dreamed of writing. The one thing I know right now? I’m going to work my little polka dot yellow socks off to produce a book I hope you will love because it’s you, my knockout, top-notch readers, that have been the fuel to my fire over the past four years: Whether you are near or far; a new reader or a long-standing one, thank you for all your support and friendship. I’ve always written Bright.Bazaar so that it feels like you guys are right there with me soaking up all my colourful design adventures, and I was keen for this to be the same with the book. With that in mind, I decided to make this video that wherever you are in the world you could join me in exploring London for colourful inspiration, as well as finding some playful places to write. After all, when inspiration strikes you can’t help but write!
