Packing My Bags For Cologne, Germany!

Well, folks, I’m just jumping in quickly because I have lots I need to get sorted before I head off at the crack of dawn (literally!) to Cologne tomorrow. I’m headed there to speak on a social media panel at IMM Cologne organised by Holly Becker. It’s my first time visiting the city, so I’m super excited! Do you have any tips for must sees and dos in Cologne and/or Düsseldorf? Given my upcoming trip, I thought it was appropriate to share this charming house in a village on the outskirts of Cologne. I love the crisp, clean white facade of the exterior and how colour has been layered into the inside through bright hued chairs, lighting and everyday items like books. And if I lived there? Well I’d need to add my own Bright.Bazaar spin, starting with painting the window frames orange! I’ll see what other beauties I can spot on my travels, so feel free to follow along via Bright.Bazaar’s Instagram feed. What are your weekend plans, friends?

I’m so much looking forward to meeting you at imm_Cologne, Will. And I have some tips for you concerning Düsseldorf. I’ll post about it later today. If you’re in CGN it’s a great opportunity to visit Düsseldorf as well, even if the two cities are in a love-hate with each other.

I can recommend the cathedral in the centre of Cologne. Amazingly this beautiful building survived the allied bombing, but there are still a few war wounds on its exterior.
