H&M Home: Four Trends For Spring 2013

There’s no season better suited to refreshing your home than spring and while we’re not be quite there just yet, the days are slowly growing longer and the stores are already starting to fill up with an array of colourful new buys as the spring collections filter in. I’m throughly addicted to H&M Home (as regular readers will know!) because they offer such an affordable way to bring about a little home refresh without breaking the budget. Take a scroll through their four new home looks and let me know which one you like best and why – I love reading about the pieces that inspire you!
The first trend, Flirty Florals, is a veritable feast of fun, flirty and feminine details that will bring instant spring charm to an interior. It’s a trend that you can easily mix and match with Flamingo Fun (trend no.3) thanks to their compatible core colour palettes. Versatile in nature, you can mix this look up depending on your taste: Achieve all out floral fabulousness by layering in multiple floral print textiles in bold, bright hues, or take a more gentle approach by using subtle blossom print bedding as an instant bedroom refresh for spring.
I think Sophisticated Nature will be the brand’s most successful collection this season because it marries two huge players in interiors right now: industrial elements and animal prints. Both of these are evident in most stores right now so bring them together was a smart and stylish move. I love how they’ve layered the lemon yellow accents into the graphic animal prints in black, grey and biscuit. A very chic look indeed!
Are you a fun loving, retro-living, pastel addict, ice cream loving kinda person?! If you’ve answered yes to at least two of those then you’re gonna love Flamingo Fun because it rocks all of these elements. Ideal for fans of the 50-‘s, this look is quintessential quirky cute thanks to flamboyant flamingo prints, playful pink hues and retro typography. The great thing with these pieces is you can literally bring one or two buys – say a bath towel and mat – into your home and they are so strong and striking that you’ll be able to recreate the look in an instant.
My personal favourite look rounds our the four trends; Urban Lounge is a masculine mix of bold typographic prints and splashes of bright accent shades like tangerine. The core palette is a refined combination of black, grey and mint cream, which is punctuated with vibrant hits of orange and electric blue – I have my eye on the Huston St. pillow and the Bay Area shower curtain.

Which of the four trends would you bring into your home this coming spring, friends?

I love the flamingo theme – it works really well in the bathroom! Not sure if I would be brave enough to have it in any other room though!

Love them all! I would want the flirty florals but the hubby would probably prefer the urban lounge. But those bright pops of color?! I die!

I think Flamingo Fun is such fun (yep, channelling my inner Miranda’s mum there), I like Urban Lounge too but Flirty Florals is just so pretty! Not a big fan of animal print but I know I’m in the minority there :)

Mr Bazaarl – How well you capture the different moods, – so cool. I adore the first look, and might also mix and match from the different collections. Happy spring – bring it on (hmm a while yet, but dreaming is good I hear:)

I wish there was a H&M store over here so I could check these out and touch the fabric. The first two looks appeal to me, mainly the yellow colours in no. 2.

Sophisticated nature, all the way!

Well you know how much I like H&M home too! It’s just so reasonable and I love the fact not too many people know about it. I think the urban lounge us my fave although I do like the zebra and giraffe cushions and the bird duvet cover xx

I am loving the urban lounge! What a fantastic balance of masculine and feminine. The mint does a beautiful job softening the edginess of the strips and bold typography. I could live here. :)

@Hege For some reason it doesn’t seem to be available in France, which is weird because it’s in so many other European markets! Fingers crossed them to come you guys soon.
